Forge Summer Intern

¡Hola amigos y familia!

Gracias de antemano por su tiempo, estoy emocionado de compartir sobre todo lo que Dios está haciendo en mi vida y estoy ansioso por compartir sobre una próxima oportunidad que tengo este verano.

As many of you know, last summer I went to Forge Equipping (ForgeEquipping.com), and my life hasn’t been the same. I ended up coming to college in Columbia, SC to pursue a Bible degree which was not on the agenda before training. For a long time before this year, I felt like there was more to my life than what I was doing. Every time I started a job, I felt like it was temporary while I waited on what God really had for me. In hindsight, I could’ve been way more intentional and been a better witness for Christ, and instead of waiting on “one day,” I should have been concerned about, “today.” But thankfully God is gracious and allowed me to get to Forge Equipping last summer where I started to better understand God’s mission and how I can be a part of it. And that has continued this semester. As I learn, God has given me more understanding of what I’m doing on this planet and what this place is all about. It’s about God and His Kingdom. Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” – John 10:10.

Todavía no entiendo esto tanto como quisiera. Pero entiendo, ahora más que nunca, lo que es la vida abundante de la que habló Jesús. La vida abundante se encuentra cerca de Jesús, viviendo diariamente con Él. Como lo hizo Adán en el jardín antes del pecado. Adán caminó con Dios. La vida abundante se encuentra sirviendo a Cristo día tras día. No encontramos nuestra vida tomando, ascendiendo y siendo los primeros. Encontramos la vida dando, descendiendo y siendo los últimos. siervo de todos.

It is for this reason that I am planning to intern with Forge. I am eager to serve and share what Jesus has been doing in my life. As a bonus, I will get to spend my summer up close to people who love Jesus and can push me deeper into my relationship with Christ. I am passionate about the mission of Forge; They exist to raise up more kingdom laborers. A kingdom laborer is someone who loves Jesus, loves others, and advances the kingdom everyday, everywhere.  

My long-term vision for my life is to see the world impacted for Jesus. I have a particular burden for those who have never heard the good news. I believe God wants people from all tribes, tongues, and nations to be a part of His family! My internship at Forge, this summer will absolutely help me to move forward in this calling.
